Don't know if this is the place to ask, but...

I get my birth control on Thursday. I have to get the full checkup and everything first. I'm really nervous since it will be my first time going to the gyno...but I'm also proud that my boyfriend and I are doing it. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on where I could stash my b.c. once I get it so that my parents can't find it? The purse might work...but it's super small with not many pockets...

SO...any ideas at all?

it sounds silly, but under your mattress.

Which only works if you change your own sheets...if your mom does your laundry or changes sheets for you, that doesn't work.

How about in your closet? In a pair of shoes? In your desk?

i don't really have any personal experience with this, but i think i've heard of people popping out the "powder" tray from a compact and sticking in the thing that holds birth control pills. i have no idea if this makes sense (since i've never seen BC packs) but if so, it might work to make it especially inconspicuous (especially if the compacts has some big makeup company logo on it...)

good luck :)

Underwear drawer and under the mattress are the two places I would look if I were a suspicious mom... or a little brother looking for a diary.

+ Sacrifice a stuffed animal and make a slit right across its back. Pull out a little stuffing so that you can slip the BC right in. Use a safety pin to hold its back closed.

+ If the pack is rectangular, it should fit right inside the box for a deck of cards.

+ As long as mom doesn't put away your clothes (or go on any cleaning binges), stash it in the pocket of a piece of clothing that hangs in the closet. Jeans are good because they're already a little stiff if someone gives them a quick touch.

+ Crafty? Use an Exacto-Knife to cut out the center of a book. Make sure its something that no one in the house might want to read....

+ You know those sleeves that photos come back in, after they're developed? Should fit perfectly in that, just tucked in a desk drawer.

+ I use upside down cardboard lids, covered in wrapping paper, to hold odd things on my desk, like post-its and pens. If you cut a square the same size as the lid and cover it in matching paper, you have a false bottom to stash you pills in.

..you can tell I've never had to hide anything from my parents before. ;)
