My period is due tomorrow, and i feel like shit. My back hurts, my body feels kind of achey..I just feel like shit. I've never had back pain before a period before, is this a bad sign (I'm 15..so i dunno if that makes any difference or not)? Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to relieve it?

It's totally normal, especially around the lower back. A little Tylenol/Advil/other pain meds should help. Or a heat pad/warm towel, if you're not one for pills.

Yeah, I started getting back pains during/before my period when I was 16 or 17 and a couple of my friends had the same problem, so it's normal.

i get lower back pains EVERY time and theyre really really uncomfortable.. take tylenol/advil/motrin/midol, use a heating pad or even those sticky ones just stick it to your lower back, your pants will hold it in place.. and drink hot tea.. it always works for me :o)

Thank you! Are you talking about the new sticky heating pads that just came out? There's one for menstural pain..one for the neck, etc? I've seen those, I tried the menstrual one once, I liked it lol.

yup lol sometimes i get cramps in the front AND back, so i just wear 2 ;o) lol i find that leaving them on for a while makes me feel kinda sick though.. i get really hot and dizzy from them sometimes :o\ oh well gotta be careful i guess! Luv, Linds*

I get it too -- though not every single month. Gentle yoga, like sitting on the floor and doing easy forward bends and supported backbends (like over a few pillows) can help. Or massage -- if you can get someone to rub your back for a few minutes, that helps a LOT!

Thanks :) I did yoga last night..I found 'the cobra' helped SO much.
