My cycle's a very bizarre thing. The longest it's been was 74 days, the shortest was 31. It started getting shorter, now it's getting longer again!
But (sorry to be so graphic) i have terrible wind! I know it's common for women to get a form of IBS when they're menstruating, but can anyone tell me why this is please? Thanks!
x

i have poly cystic ovarian disease, and the summer when i was 12 (im 16 now) my cycle lasted that entire summer. i'm not sure how old you are, but it could be because of hormones and insulin related stuff. just a thought. --Emily

my IBS is always irritated when i'm bleeding, and it's worse when my cramps are worst. i know that sometimes pregnant women are given castor oil to help start labor...the idea is that the spasms of the colon irritate the uterus and cause it to contract (cramp). i think maybe the inverse is also true - that when the uterus is contracting/cramping, it can irritate the colon.
