ok, so i have two silly questions.
first of all, is it a really bad idea to use tampons of a higher absorbancy than you really need? my flow isn't all that heavy, but i'm still using super plus absorbancy ones so that i can wear what i want and i don't have to worry about changing anything for several hours at a time. i know not to leave them in for longer than the box indicates, but i don't know if it's safe to use a heavier one than is necessary. anyone know?
also, is it a bad thing to take a tampon out when it's still mostly dry and then to put a new one in relatively quickly? like, is it a problem to switch them too often?
thanks a lot!

Ithink changing it more often than needed is just a comfort thing (and expense) -- you could irritate your vaginal lining by pulling out a dry tampon. But I think it's OK to use a heavier absorbancy than you need, as long as you don't leave it in too long.

It's not good to use a higher absorbancy than necessary because that greatly increases your risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome.

I would think that using a higher absorbancy than needed isnt a good idea, just like the person in the previous comment stated, its a higher risk for TSS. also, if ur period is light..the dry cotten absorbs the natural mucus etc. in ur vaginal walls, which isnt good at all and can cause many problems.
