this will truly be the weekend of the red tent for me. we're heading out on a camping trip tonight, and who should i bring along but miss monthly? sheesh. i am so thankful i have my keeper.. tampons and/or pads in the woods would be just awful.

You have a Keeper??
How do you like it? I've been tihnking of getting one. My big question is, how do you manage to wash it when you're in a public place (I'm curious about dealing with it at work.

i bought my keeper a few months ago and i *love* it. since my flow is pretty light (normally), i only have to empty it twice a day. once when i get up in the morning, and once at night before i go to bed. since i'm in my own bathroom, i wash it out with anti-bacterial soap each time. then i soak it in vinegar and water in between periods.

i only had to empty it once in a public place.. a bathroom stall at the movie theater. i keep some wet wipes in my purse, so i just emptied it and then cleaned it off a bit with a wipe. no problem at all.

i'm not sure how people with heavier flows manage, though. they might have a tougher time, since the cup is usually only about 1/3 full when i empty it.

I've got kids, so keeping a small pack of wipes in my purse is easy.

I tried something like the keeper a few years back. I think it was called Instead. If this is the same thing it didn't work that well for me, because I do have a heavy flow. I had to change it at work, restaurants, etc. It was very messy.

i've been using my keeper for about three months now and it's great. i think it holds more than instead.. 3 oz. i think instead is more like a cap, doesn't hold anything, just stops it from flowing out. but i may be wrong, cuz i've never used it.

considering that we're camping naked, the keeper will be a lifesaver. no cutting tampon strings for me, lol.

still, though.. of ALL the timing! ARGH!!

i wish i had some private land! :) there is a nudist resort about 3 hours from my house that we're going to. we've been there before.. a long time ago. i'm a bit nervous, but i'm looking forward to it!!
