although i've been doing this for the past..um..6 years now, i forgot how long it's okay to leave a tampon in for. 6 hours or 8? i no longer have the box, these tampons are really old actually. i need to go pad shopping today. i got some cloth ones a while ago but i lost them, dammit.
now i'm just rambling. sorry.
i hope . ends before i go camping in like 4 days. ay yi yi.

I wonder if that's something tampon companies came up with so they could sell more tampons? I honestly don't know.

The longest you can leave them in is 8 hours.

However, if you're going camping, you might want to look into the Instead cup (http://www.softcup.com). That way, you won't have to worry about it all day :)

I use it. It is more comfortable than a tampon cause I don't have that whole "i'm plugged up with cotton" feeling. It's easy to insert to - it might look huge, but when you fold it in half to put it in, it's the same size of a tampon, and it slides in easier too.

I bought mine at CVS, and I hear that they also sell them at Target if you are wondering where to find them.

I've been one to leave them in for 12 hours without a problem. Eight is reccomended max, I think.
