BCPs

Hi... new to posting, but have been viewing for a long time.

Orthotricyclene and Ortho-lite (did I spell that right? haha)

Which are the sugar pills (in other words, which are the ones that are OK to miss)?

I only ask because recently, I dropped one of my pills and couldn't find it. So, I had to open another pack and get a pill from there.

So, now I've got a wasted pack, which I'll have to use as a "just in case I lose a pill" pack. Unless the one I lost was a sugar pill that is OK if I don't take... then I didn't waste a month of BCPs.

Light blue, blue, light green or dark green? Which are OK to forget to take. ;) OK, I may have the colors wrong here... I don't have a pack on me.. light blue may be white? I dont' pay attention.. just pop out and pop in my mouth. ;)

Additional Info: I am taking the Ortho that comes from Planned Parenthood. I have been using them as my gyno due to having no insurance. Anyways, thru them, there is a circle of dark green pills in the center. One of those are what I lost.

Now that I have a job with insurance, I will probably get the "real" Ortho, where they are all in one circle. I had that before with my old job where I had insurance.

I am taking BCPs for all sorts of reason; hormonal control (Yeay PMS), acne, birth control, and probably anything else it helps with. Generally, I do not rely on BCPs solely for protection against pregnancy. I'm such a paranoid person, but on ocassion, that is all that we use.

Again, I opened an extra pack of BCPs that I had and took the pill that I had lost (one of the dark greens in the center) as to not screw anything up. I don't mind keeping a "just in case I lose a pill" package of BCPs, but if the pill I lost was just a sugar pill and does not matter if I take it or not, I would still be able to use this pack regularly, right?

Thanks for all your help (and the other community!).

the ones you're taking when you're having your period- i think with OTC it's the green ones, but i'm not sure- wait- with OTC it's the ones in the middle of the circle- the active ones are around the edge, and the placebo ones are clustered int he middle, if i'm remembering right.

with OTC from Planned Parenthood, the placebos are in a smaller circle inside the outer circle of actives :o)

usually, the last 7 are the sugar pills....

don't worry about it if you miss one, just pick it up where you left off the next day, you'll be fine

When I took OTC I always, always every day, had the nausea from Hell. Otherwise it controlled my period quite nicely. But I had to quit because the nausea was so bad. What can be done about that? I'd like to get back on it, but... ugh, the nausea.
