I was just wondering if you can take a pregnancy test while on your period? Or is there a certain amount of time you have to wait until after your period is finished before you can take one? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Why would you need a pregnancy test if you're on your period? If you're on your period, I would assume it's highly unlikely that you're pregnant, but if you think you need to take the test, wait until you past the date you should ovulate. It's generally 11-14 after the first day of your period depending on your cycle.

It's still possible to be pregnant and have your period and I have a lot of other symptoms. Thanks for the advice on when I should be able to take one.

If you are on your period, then likely you aren't pregnant. I mean the whole purpose of your period is to get rid of an unfertilized egg. If you got pregnant during your period, you wouldn't know yet and it would have had to be way inside your tubes because the egg hasn't even made it down yet.

What symptoms are you trying to go by here? Nausea, Fatigue and things like that are signs of hormonal flux, over exercising, heat exhaustion and stress as well.

If you get pregnant during your period, your period would stop. (I'm speaking from personal experience here..) But she didn't say that she thinks she just got pregnant.. Sometimes implantation bleeding is mistaken for a period. (I had that happen too.. I knew I was pregnant, so it was kinda scary..)

I know the signs could be indicative of other things however, I've just had two untimely periods within one month, when I'm usually regular and on time. I've also had intense nausea, severe headaches, fatigue and weirdness with my breasts. I'm hoping this could all be coincidental but I wanted to rule out pregnancy.
I'm pretty in tune with my body and I can sense something is different. Thank you for your comments.

Well, it IS possible to have a period and be pregnant...if I were you, I'd wait 'till your period was over to take the test...
