i'm in the hut.

im usually really happy about that, but im a little pissed off this time.
i'm jewish.. and we have a fast today, so i havent eaten anything since yesterday at about 5pm, and i cant eat till around 8pm tonight. i also cant drink anything, and i feel the cramps starting, but i cant take anything to make them go away :( this sucks.
it also came one day early.. maybe because i havent eaten anything, i dunno. and my boobs usually get really sore about a week before, but they dont hurt at all this time, so i thought it would come late. i guess i was wrong.


oh well.

May you have an easy (and meaningful) fast.

Maybe a hot water bottle will help? Walking also helps me sometimes.

walking really does help, i usually do that. my cramps never get too bad anyway, so thats good.

I can't say anything other than "may you have an easy fast" and feel better.

How about hot compresses or a heating pad at least to help with the cramps until the end to Tisha B'Av?

(I feel your pain; I'm not allowed to fast this year, but I know how hard it is. And Tisha B'Av is so much harder than Yom Kippur.)

Take it easy, and try to nap, I guess. I'm not sure this would count as a threat to life or health in the lifting the fast sense, and I remember how awful I felt when I was on antibiotics one year during High Holidays and had to take my pills during the day...I felt so guilty.

i actually think that Tisha B'Av is easier than Yom Kippur, though it is a little harder to fast when its so hot. at least on Tisha B'Av i could use the computer and watch tv to make the time pass fast.

antibiotics are important, so you shouldnt feel guilty for having to take them during a fast.. you couldnt do anything about it.


i did try the heating pad, it helped. im happy the fast is over though, i missed pain killers. lol

last year i was in australia during tisha b'av. southern hemisphere, july = winter = shorter days = fast over much earlier. it was great. almost made up for missing out on summer.

can't you cheat alittle? Im sure that people fasting are aloud to take pills right?

i could if i wanted to, but then whats the point of that?
you're only allowed to take pills if you're sick and a doctor says you have to. cramps arent that bad.
