I'm new here, I've got a question about the Nuvaring. I've been on it since March now, and I love it. I start a new one in the middle of my period; can I use a tampon at the same time? I've been using pads and they're driving me nuts.

I've used Nuvaring successfully with both Instead (http://www.softcup.com) and the Divacup (http://www.divacup.com), albeit with slight discomfort if things are adjusted wrong. I don't see how a tampon would be any different.

Thanks for the info. What I've been worried about is the tampon perhaps leeching additional hormones out of the ring.
