irregular

I was on the pill (Necon 1/28) for 7 months and I went off it in early march.
Since then my period has been VERY irregular.

I am currently sexually active but we do use condoms EVERY time.

The fact that I am so irregular bothers me very much, and in the past few months I took 2 diffent pregancy tests just to be safe.

Is it normal for an irregular period so long after I stopped taking the pill? Is the only way to get regular again to go back on the pill (I didn't like the side effects it was giving me).

I think it's common--at least that is to say I've had it happen to me too.
I went off the pill in March as well and we use condoms every time and I have gotten paranoid and tested a coulpe times as well.

I've always been irregular and I dont see anything changing for me. I dont know what will happen with you.

I am experiencing a similar problem! My period has been out of whack for months! I took the emergency contraception earlier this year-in May and since then I was on the pill for one month-bad side effects and then off and only using condoms after that...my period has been very sporadic since! For example, I will have light cramping and spotting for 2-3 days and then it will go away and about 2-4 days later I get heavier cramps followed by a heavy uncomfortable cycle! Its all a mess. I have been told that it might take awhile for my body to adjust, so we just have to hang in there, I suppose! I am using acupuncture in the meantime for the pain and all of my pms symptoms to be slightly alleviated-which might be changing my cycle as well! Good luck with your cycle-I hope we start to get more normal soon!
