Just want to complain about Alesse. What a crappy pill (for me at least). Because I have severe cramps I am on a continuous pill system (ie. I take a pack of pills and start a whole new pack when I hit the sugar pills so that I delay my period) and I have been taking Alesse because they were free (doctor friend) and the damned things suck. Normally I go three months (ie. 4 packs) continuously before I have a period but these crappy pills made me spot so much after only a month and a half that I've decided I might as well have my period. *grumbles* Now I have to go and try and find a way to afford Demulin... Grr...

i'm on alesse and i love it....

it's a low dose so if you are using it to skip, that's not really a good idea.......in terms of spotting anyway...better to buy a higher dose for that reason i would think...

i usually get pills from my mom who is a doctor, and alesse was my favorite pill for normal use, but it didn't work for me with continuous use either, so i switched up. your doctor friend doesn't have any higher-dose pills? my mom is giving me samples she got of nuvaring now, and that seems to work GREAT for continuous use. i looove it so far, though i haven't tried to have any sex with it in or anything so i don't know if that would be weird.

ack...i'm a university student....but luckily i have a really good health plan that pays for all of my prescriptions (my new pills are over 200$ for a 3-month supply...yeah..don't see myself paying that!! thankfully i have blue cross covering it)

alesse is cheap though......maybe you can get a generic brand of a high dose...or is that what demulin is??

haha yeah, i won't be as lucky when i can't use my dad's plan...we have to get permission (so to speak) every year for me to be on it..since i'm at university...annnnnnnnnnnnnoyyyyyying

anyway...yeah....sometimes if you get the packs in bulk...like 3 at a time, it's cheaper also..

My Alesse was also great until I tried to skip. I still like it though. I have zero side effects, so I don't plan on switching up to something stronger.

I'm on Zovia, generic for Demulen, and it's been good to me. Might want to look into that. A friend of mine went from Demulen to Zovia with no problems.
