ok so i'm on day 7 of my first week on the patch.
it's not sticking really well... it kinda looks like all the adhesive is black and on my skin rather than under the patch.
tomorrow is my change day.
would i be ok if i took it off for tonight and put the new one on in the morning?
i'd have the patch off for less than 24 hours.

i'm about to leave my house so a quick response would truly be appreciated?

I would just keep it on, personally. Though I'm not that clear on the severity of the non-stickyness.

I'd agree -- keep it on, tape it down if you have to.

I doubt there'd be any serious consequences to taking it off, perhaps some minor breakthrough bleeding, but I'd keep it on if at all possible.

DO NOT tape it down. The directions indicate that the patch should never be covered by anything other than your clothing.

that's odd. my doctor says there's NO harm in putting a little bit of tape around the edges if the patch gets loose. actually several doctors have said this.

why would there be, if you think about it? you're not adding and/or taking away any of the hormones, all you're doing is... well, putting scotch tape on your arm.

Keep it on. You're gonna get the colored ring depending on what color clothes you wear. But normally they stick well. Only time I've had an exception was a long bath.

When I switched from the pill I had a lot of hormonal imbalance the first month. I'm on the second now and I feel great, it's so convenient!

I've been on the patch for almost a year, and I love it. But I know exactly what you're talking about. Sometimes they seem like they're a little loose, but usually they're not. Unless it actually falls off, or is peeling off in places, just leave it alone. Also, that black ring around it is just adhesive that's attracting dirt and whatnot. You'll probably get that a lot, I still haven't figured out how to keep it away.
