*straps on a helmet* this is gonna be a bad one.

just entered the hut today, along with medium sized cramps, a brain-splitting migraine, diarrhea and vomiting.

note: this is a really odd occurence for me. i've been on the pill for upwards of 5 years now, and my periods are usually not that bad at all. i've already taken a bath, and i've been lying in bed with a warm cloth on my head for most of the day, but nothing seems to make me feel any better. suggestions? anyone? i'm miserable.

I like rubbing IcyHot or Bengay on my lower abdomen to relax the cramps...

Try some ginger tea (I steep about 2 TBSP fresh ginger with some raspberry tea) - good for both an upset tummy and relaxing cramps. Also, a heating pad or ThermaCare pad would probably really soothe them.

could possibly anemia...
especially if it runs in your family.
if you start bleeding heavier than normal or your period lasts longer than it should (ie. a week) or you start to feel faint, i'd say go see a doctor to get your blood tested cause your red blood cell count might be low. that's what happened to a friend i know.

Your out-of-the-norm is my norm. ;) That said, if this is NOT normal for you, please consider calling your medical care person. That combination of symptoms could be something else. Diarrhea and vomiting are fairly serious symptoms because of the risk of dehydration.

I'm a little late in replying, but I wanted to add this. I hope you don't take offense by this suggestion...

Mastrubation seems to relieve my severe cramps and those in other girls who have been comfortable discussing it with me. It isn't always a complete relief, and sometimes the relief is temporary, but it will cause your muscles to relax when you are finished, and cramps will subside.

Any kind of physical activity is also in the same category. Especially things that bring circulation to that area.

Since I'm late, I guess this is a tip for next time. :)
