I just don't know what's up. My tampons don't want to stay in place. And I swear, I'm putting them far enough in, almost an inch past the bone in there that i dont know the name of.. but as soon as i sit down, they... slide. and it's vaguely uncomfortable, but not painful. and it makes them leakier. grrr. it makes me want to go to tampax almost, but not really at all. o.b. sells tampons with applicators right? Maybe I just need a stick to push them farther in, since my finger is obviously inadequate =P

I would just keep practicing and pushing farther. Once it's in far enough, you shouldn't be able to feel it. It takes a while to get the hang of tampon insertion - It took me a couple of cycles to get it to where it was comfortable and I wasn't leaking.

Your fingers are probably long enough. Mine are fairly short and I use o.b. without applicators. You may want to change the position you're in while inserting to see if you can get the tampon farther in.

Good luck!

I wished I had advice to help, but I don't. You're not alone in your problem though. Mine always get pushed out. I've only tried 3 tampons, and I gave up after that. Less hassle for me. Even with an applicator to push it far up there it still came out.

Yes, I believe o.b. now makes tampons with applicators as well as those without. You should be able to easily find them.

By the way, the tampon goes just into the cervix, I believe, which isn't really a bone! But that is what holds the tampon in place.

You prefer something like the Keeper or a Diva cup if tampons aren't quite doing the job.

I don't use tampons anymore because they suck rocks (I use Instead softcups. their site seems to be down right now though) but when I did I found it was more a matter of pushing them back behind the bone, not just deep in. I find that if I use applicators I push them TOO FAR in and hurt myself. It's a lot harder to control where they go when they're inside a little tube on the end of a stick.

Also, with the OB you need to kindof spread out the downward end with your fingers to make a "plug" out of it. that will help it stay in and minimize leakage.

But, really, Instead is just such a better solution.
