I've been hearing lots of women talk about how they have a good deal of discharge from their cunts, and I've been just recently realizing that I don't have much at all. When my boyfriend and I have sex, it's sometimes extremely dry. I've been taking allergy medication for a long time. Could this have an effect on it? If so, what can I do to increase the amount of discharge I produce? (not-taking the medication isn't really an option)

thanks,
Jenni

I don't know how to increase discharge, but if you're dry when you're having sex, there are lots of types of lubes that you can use.

Allergy medication can absolutely decrease the amount of discharge you produce. A lot of medications (especially decongestants, but also antihistamines and steriods) work by drying up mucus in your body, particularly in your sinuses, but other places (like your vag), too... that's why they list dry mouth and headache (from dehydration) as a possible side effect.

Suggestions: drink lots of water (it's good for you!), have lots of foreplay to make sure you're turned on before intercourse, talk to your doctor about your options, and use lube. Oh, also, having period sex is a great way to ensure that you have some natural discharge to act as a lubricant -- some women feel weird about that, but I like it :-)

I also take a lot of allergy pills and know exactly what you are talking about. I agree with the last post that a lot of foreplay helps, also oral sex before penetration. If you're short on time, then a good lube works wonders.
