I am going to visit my boy and after checking out my cyclespage (awesome website btw--www.cyclespage.com) it seems that I will be in the hut that weekend. I have two questions, is there any way to make my period come earlier? If not, what about sex while in the hut? I have never been a fan of the idea but only seeing my man once a month is definitely enough to start changing my mind. Is it incredibly messy? Any tips to help keep mess to a minimum?

I guess that is more than two questions isn't it? Thanks for any suggestions!

If you are on hormonal birth control, you can skip the period all together. If not, you can try using Instead Cups, which should hold most of the blood flow back. Or just throw a towel under you. :) Extra lube, and I've found myself to be even more sensitive then.

sex in the shower isn't too messy (all the blood washes away right quick) and like puttysan said, it's extra lube! :D

My boyfriend's really open about these kinds of things and it doesn't bother either of us to have sex while I'm on my period. Talk with your guy and see how he feels about it. You might want to have Kleenex on hand for afterwards, and something underneath you (like a towel). If your boyfriend doesn't like the idea of getting blood on himself, he could wear a condom. But usually it isn't that bad.

Like the others said... extra lube, extra sensitive. And I've read in some tantra/new age/kama sutra-esque books that sex during menstruation can help alleviate cramps (I second that!).

That's why it's all about a nice absorbant towel.

there's no reason not to have sex on your period!
have a shower before, put down a dark, preferably thick, towel, have him wear a condom if he's squeamish about blood on his penis/wants to make cleanup easier (or anyway, if you're not on bc!). imho missionary is the best positition because the blood won't be flowing down as in girl on top (umm, grammar/wording? lalala...). as soon as you've finished and he pulls out, have handkerchiefs or wipes near to catch the blood/semen/lube flowing out or just let it flow on the towel (i like to spare the towel, if possible, and just put it down for extra safety.)
go and pee (as you always should do after sex to prevent urinary tract infections), clean up further / shower again, if you feel the need.
btw, it eases cramps ;))

go for it IF your man is okay with it. if he isn't, don't push it. it's a matter of preference and if he doesn't want to, it doesn't mean that he thinks you're disgusting or something. it's just like some girls not giving blowjobs because it makes them gag- even if they want to.

have fun!

I just wanted to say that, in my experience, it's not sex that eases cramps, it's ORGASM. Which is fun with one or with more than one person ;-)
