Nov. 16th, 2003 12:33 pmmy period this month was so fricken' WEIRD. but i guess that's to be expected. but still.
i tried to skip it three weeks ago with alesse... worked for the first week and a half, and then i started breakthrough bleeding, which wasn't fun at all. bled for almost two weeks - after the first week i decided to just stop taking my active pills and make my period come so i wouldn't have to go a third week with bleeding. blech.
anyways, friday morning it's still really heavy (i usually get my period on a thursday, so i figured even with the skipping period i would still go through withdrawal as usual when i went off the actives)... friday afternoon i go to my boyfriend's house, change my keeper around 4. still pretty heavy. eight hours later i go to change it again, and there's nothing there! i haven't had anything since then either. i don't get it... first it was heavy, and then suddenly it disappears the same day. poof.
weeeeeeird.
remind me never to try skipping my period on this pill again, unless i extend my active pills for only a week (instead of three weeks, thus getting my period every five weeks instead of four).... argg. such hassle.
:P

Date: 2003-11-16 03:07 pm (UTC)And yeah, it did not work at all when I tried to skip a period with them. They just weren't strong enough to override my own hormones and I ended up with some crazy long period-spotting thing until I got back on schedule. So back to Marvelon it was, until last summer, when I decided it was a convenient time to see if I'd outgrown the cramps (which I have, yay!)
