So I got my very first Depo shot this afternoon. I'm just pretty curious on what to expect. Could you gals tell me your personal experience or just any comments on your first 3 months of Depo? I'd appreciate it lots :)

Not to alarm you, but I've read nothing but bad things about it. I have a friend who put on (and this is not an exateration) 140 pounds from it. scary stuff if you ask me. But some people love it, goodluck!

As long as you get it in your arm, it doesn't hurt at all. And if you want, add me to your friends list, because I plan on posting everything about it as time goes by. :)

I'm one of the ones who's had a good experience with Depo. No weight gain (although I seem to be fluctuating a little wider lately day to do, and this could be a result of my on-again-off-again healthy eating habits, but my average has stayed the same) and, contrary to what I've read in other posts, my libido has actually increased. My period stopped happening after the first shot, although I do have random spotting once a week or so, not usually enough to show anywhere but the t.p. after I've peed.

On the whole I'm happy with it though.
