more cup questions

You people must be getting sick of me... but anyway, I have another question. Now that I've trimmed the stem a bit and the cup is sitting lower, I can get a better feel for it, so to speak. I've noticed, while rooting around down there just now, that it didn't really seem to be opening. I spin it and spin it, but it still seems to be sort of compressed... the shape would be more like (if you'll excuse my ASCII):

Could this be the cause of my leak problem? How do I fix it?

They will always be compressed like that, your vaginal walls will be squishing it in.
I've never had any problems with leaking so I wouldn't know myself, however I would say that its more to do with the seal than anything.
Cutting the stem doesn't make the cup sit lower.

Damn... I thought I might be on to something. I guess I am back to square one... unable to tell whether I have a seal or not. :(

As for the stem, I know trimming it doesn't make the cup sit lower, but it makes it a lot more comfortable to have it sitting lower.

Nice art! I'm afraid you probably need to push it further up. There's something with me what gets in the way and i get the same problem as you. Not sure what it is exactly. A bump. If you push it past this bump it pops open easily. Try pushing it a little further, you might find it's ok!

hmmm... make sure you're not squeezing it too high up (or too hard) when you spin it, since squeezing it helps release the seal. Another thing that might help is pushing it in a little further, and then pulling down on it just a little bit - mine seems to suction when I pull it downwards. Good luck!
