and i am so impressed. i love this little doodad.

am i the only one who's inordinately and perversely proud of the fact that when i make a menstrual trip to the bathroom, the only thing i'm leaving in the toilet is menstrual fluids?

no more tampons for me! nosirree!

I am getting one of those too... I probably will not be menstruating for another three or four months anyway (given birth), but I will order it as soon as I get money... it really sounds like a better way.

I had one and lost it this summer. It has been horrid. I need to get another one.

I know there are a number of places to order them, but can anyone give me any recommendations as to a good one? Some of them seemed a little sketchy, and I'm a little paranoid about where my debit number goes floating about.

I bought one from a store, cornucopia in Northampton, MA. Check out any local healthfood stores in your area. (if they don't have it, you should ask for it :) )

I'm in Boonieville, Vermont. Down in town, the co-op sells them, but only size A (which, needless to say, doesn't do me much good, though I suppose it might very well work just fine...though I'd rather get one that I know would fit alright). I don't believe there's anywhere else to buy something similar without driving for quite some time, which is why I'm going the online route--again.
*sigh*
Sucks to spend ~60 dollars on it in the span of a year and a half, but heck--it's STILL cheaper, even losing one after a year (to say nothing of its other benefits).

I bought my keeper in a store selling environmentally friendly stuff, but my cousin got her DivaCup from http://www.divacup.com

Or maybe your store that only sells A will get you a B if you ask them (sorry to assume you haven't if you have)? Very curious that they only sell A... is there a reason?

Out of curiosity (especially if this discussion has been had before), has anyone expressed any sort of preference for one over the other? I'm hesitant to go the "Diva" route because I think the name sounds incredibly stupid, and I feel like the site was hijacked. I was also kind of keen on my nice brown rubber cup. Call me a loyalist.

And no, I haven't asked if they'd get me a B (though I may--such an obvious suggestion)--if I remember correctly, they were a little expensiver (if that's a word) than I'd seen other places. And I'm a cheapo (read: student). I'm guessing they only sell A because just about the only not-middle-aged people anywhere near here go to a college that has 300 kids at it, and older women are more likely to have had children. Just a guess, though.

Yeah, the word Diva turns me off a little too (and it comes with a cheesy daisy lapel pin that says Diva) I haven't been here long enough to know if anyone has tried both.

The silicone looks cool, but I guess there is some old-skool appeal to the brown rubber :)

My keeper has made me happier in so many ways. Yeah, I'm durned pleased with the less garbage thing, but I also don't resent having to menstruate any more. I though it was goofy when the testimonials on the websites said it made people feel better about their periods, but now i'm doing it.
