i just buy my sponges at the drug store but my old ones are kinda wearing out but now i saw they are only carry synthetic ones are those bad for you if you use them?

I don't know. I can't even get mine at a drug store in town. I need to order mine off Jade&Pearl. What even makes it synthetic? Would kind of remind me of putting a kitchen sponge in.
