Last time i posted, i think it was about urinary tract infections.
well i got another last week. i did all the things i thought i was supposed to do. peeing right after sex, cranberry juice, wipe front to back, etc.
but i got it again. at least the doctor said that i had white blood cells in my urine so he put me on a 7 day prescription of Macrobis (i think thats the name)
well i got my period yesterday. it's 7 days early, like last month. and i'm getting that peeing feeling again. like i go to the bathroom, and right afterwards i feel like i have to pee again.
it gets better after a little bit, but then it comes back in full force. i'm not going to wear any tampons this cycle because i don't want to agitate my urethra more or whatever, but does of any ideas or anything of what i should do? i'm on the 4 day of the prescription. i just don't know what to do at all.

i've found that for me, cranberry juice alone doesn't always do it. (it also irritates your stomach if you drink too much) i get cranberry extract pills and take two every day...i haven't had any problems since i started up with that.

best of luck to you...UTI's suck ass.

macrobid should be the right prescription to get rid of the UTI. you need to make sure you take all the pills in the prescription the right way in order to get rid of it. in the meantime, you should be taking something to get rid of that 'peeing feeling' (i have a UTI right now too! i hate it!) either you can get some stuff called pyridine or phenazopyridine, which is by prescription, or you can get some stuff called "uristat" over the counter that should get rid of the feeling and the pain, but it doesn't kill the infection (that's what the macrobid does). this is the stuff that will turn your pee bright orange- freaky, but kinda cool. so that should work, if not, call your doctor! if the infection persists it can hurt your kidneys. they might have to put you on a tougher antibiotic. those are my thoughts, hope they help!
