Has anyone ever had scented tampons cause a UTI?

no, but i imagine they very easily could...any scented powders/chemicals could easily travel up the urethra and cause irritation up there. *shudders at the thought*

thanks, i'm trying to figure out if that's what gave me a uti last month... it's really the only thing that i did differently and i only used them cause walmart was out of the unscented kind

I don't think it would be the most likely cause, UTI's can come from a few things. But generaly tampons are harmful, espeshaly if they are scented, so it's always a possibility.

i think if you have the tampon in while you sleep will possibility cause more of a risk of a uti...thats just what have heard around.

scented anything that goes down there sounds hazardous.

Scented anything can also cause an allergic reaction that can mimic a UTI. That happened to me.
