If you have intercourse about 2-4 days after you have finshed your period, is it ok if you have unprotected sex (and you know that they guy is clean)? What about later, like a week after your period?
Dosen't the egg get flushed out during your menstrual flow? So it would be ok, right?

*Just curious, I haven't done it, I'm still a virgin. My boyfriend and I have been getting very sexual lately. I'm just trying to figure this all out, my sex ed class isn't telling me much*

NEVER do this unless you are very closely monitoring your fertility. This means taking your temp every morning with a special thermometer, checking your cervical mucus every day, and tracking the length of your cycles. Learning to do it properly requires reading a whole book on it (Try 'Taking Charge Of Your Fertility') or taking a class taught by a professional.

However, because you're young, your best course of action is to go on the pill so you don't ovulate at all, rather than trying to predict when you are and aren't. This whole 'safe week' idea, along with pulling out, is what gets you pregnant ;)

Ohhh ok makes sense, so here's another question...

I am under 18, so how do I get on the pill? I know if I ask my mom, she will freak and relize whats going on with her baby girl.

I guess this would depend on your state's laws regarding patient-doctor priveledge for minors... or do you just mean you'd have to explain where the chunk of money was going/have her pay for them? I guess you'll just have to talk to her or use a cheaper method of birth control. You know your mom best, so good luck.

Go to Planned Parenthood, or even your regular family doctor. It's against Federal law for them to tell your mom what's going on. It's your privacy. To be on the safe side, though, be sure to tell him that it's confidential.
