i remember once about two years ago. maybe three, not too clear. But anyway, I had flown from los angeles to mexico city. during the flight i had a major rush of blood for some reason. perhaps it was the pressure from the altitude, or the take off that affected it. not too sure. I normally have a light period that causes me no problems. I felt as if i was going to bleed to death. once we had landed, it began to level out. towards the end of the day i was normal again.
maybe it was a fluke, but that was my experience.

Make sure you pack plenty of tampons (or what ever you normally use)in your carry-on. If you're prone to painful cramps, take painkillers as well. Wear comfy clothes and drink plenty of water.

That's all I can think of. Hope that helps.

stay hydrated, have painkillers and tampons/pads in your carry-on and make sure to change your tampons often enough (time difference and stuff). avoid alcohol and caffeine. also, get enough rest.
can't think of more. have a nice stay!

If you use tampons, wear a pad as well, or at least a pantiliner, even if you don't normally. Just in case you're stuck without bathroom access.
