My period started a few days before New Years... the 29th, I believe. Various times over the past week or so, I've had unprotected sex. However, the only time he came inside of me was on the last day of my period. Today, however, I've been seeing some dark spotting. I NEVER spot. So I'm thinking maybe it's something to do with the sex. It couldn't mean I'm pregnant, could it?

as far as i know, not bleeding is a lot surer sign of being pregnant than bleeding. my interpretation would be that your period's just doing funny things and it's unrelated. if you are really worried, get a pregnancy test, though it takes a couple of days for those to be accurate. the time during your period and just before and after it are the safest in terms of chances of pregnancy, but that doesn't mean you should exploit it... you still can get pregnant then, depending on your cycle. i suggest you stop having unprotected sex! you risk getting STDs as well.
i posted a link a few days ago, i'm going to post it again because i think it's a pretty good one about any abnormal bleeding.

when they list pregnancy there, they're not referring to your kind of bleeding though, just to note, they mean if you know you are pregnant you may have heavy abnormal bleeding to indicate a miscarriage.

It could ALWAYS mean you are pregnant. EVery time you have sex, you have a risk of pregnancy. That's why it's important to use protection every time.

A lot of things can cause a woman’s cycle to change. I don’t know if you’re pregnant. Anytime you have unprotected sex, you could get pregnant. You can take a pregnancy test 10-14 days after “the event” (although you said that you had unprotected sex more than once so figuring out the exact date of the event could be iffy). You could take one now and again in a week or two. If your period’s late, you should definitely take one.

If you don’t want to get pregnant, you should start using a method of protection (such as a condom or pills or something) because if your’e not pregnant, you could get pregnant. I’m sure you already know that him not coming in you is not protection against pregnancy.

spotting inbetween periods could be implantation bleeding, when a fertilized ovum implants into your uterine lining. you could be pregnant, you could not. since the possibility is there, i'd invest in a preg test when your next period is due. i don't know when the last time you had unprotected sex was, but if it was less than five days ago, you may also want to get emergency contraception. while it's effective for 120hrs, the failure rate increases with each day you wait to take it.

spotting can be the result of other things as well... stress, dietary/exercise change, illness, etc. but better safe than sorry, good luck.
