Monday I had gallbladder surgery and as if the pain from the variously located 11 staples I have in my gut isnt enough pain, my moonwaters decided to flow a little early.

Now, normally I dont get my period very often as I have some medical problems so when I do get it I'm a little happy that at least I know I'm still functioning properly and I'm more than likely heading down a healthier path but still, who actually 'enjoys' their period?

Thankfully I'm a user of the Keeper and if you're wondering if it really does work ..YES! It's an awesome little invention, however I'm unable to handle the insertion part of it this month because bending and such is just killing my stomach. So, I've opted for the old maxi pad routine which I hate, it prolongs my period to 6 or 7 days, when I use the Keeper it's only 3 or 4.

To top it off the pain killers have uumm, how shall I say this delicately, bound everything else up. Mmmhhmm, lucky me.

I HATE feeling this moody, tempermental and all around gross!

i can totally sympathize. i had my gall bladder out a few years ago, too. coughing is the absolute worst. i can't imagine having my period and trying to recover at the same time. thankfully, i was on depo at the time of my surgery, so i didn't have to worry about that.

i love my keeper. i bought it about 4 (or 5?) months ago, and i couldn't imagine going back to pads or tampons. i bet you can't wait to use it again. :)

hope you regain your health soon and are back on your feet in no time!!

I am so sorry to hear that, even though I don't know you yet! Periods can be a pain (literally and figuratively) already, so I can't imagine dealing with gallbladder surgery on top of everything else. I hope the healing goes all right!
