i have a question. is it really that bad if your period ends up not coming for like 2 or 3 months? my situation is that my period is irradic and doesn't come for a couple months at a time. i don't really keep track but i have an estimate (the 20s). i know im not pregnant because im not sexually active.

It could be something wrong. It could just be you're naturally irregular. There's really no way we could say, and you should see a doctor to make sure.

When you're young, it's incredibly common. When you're older, it should fall into a cycle, though it may be much longer than 28 days. My cousin had a three month cycle. She had no health problems, and no problem conceiving, she just had a super-long cycle.

My period was HIGHLY irregular until after I was 21.

I had no health problems. Actually, I was overweight, but that wasn't the chance.

When I moved out of my family's house, my period became very regular within a couple of months. All the crazy hecticness that was the stress of my life seems to have really affected it. Because as soon as I moved away from the stress, my period for the first time in my life was trackable. It was AWESOME.

Are you underweight maybe? Or overweight? It took me until 16 to start my period, and then it hiccupped for a couple years after that (once every 2-4 months), until I got on the pill to regulate my hormones. I'm still slightly underweight so when I get off the pill, I go back to the 2 month cycle. I got my insides checked out and the doc said nothing was wrong, except for the weight thing. It might just be the same for you, but I'd go to a gyn and get checked. :)
