Well, i got my pap today and it was awesome. I went to a women's clinic thing that was going on so i got a flower after and everything! I also got the breast exam and stuff....yay! They made me feel really comfortable...food, drinks, movie, info and everything in the waiting room. Also gave me a prescription for a year's worth of BC!! :D

Now...I'm getting surgery on my lung on Thursday....and tomorrow is my first day of taking no hormone pills for the month which means i would have my period during surgery!!!! Soooo first my first time ever im going to try and skip my period...i'm on alesse and i have had break through bleeding near the end of the hormone pills before so im a bit worried, but i guess it's worth a shot...

anyone else have good/bad luck with doing this on alesse??

Alesse always makes me leaky after the third week. It's just a really light pill. I love it completely otherwise because I have absolutely no bad side effects at all.

I'm not on alesse but I did do that once with ortho low...actually, both me and my roommate tried it after reading an article about skipping placebo pills to just not have your period at all and here's what happened to both of us: neither of us bled at all, but we both got a little queasy. Nothing big, and at first I didn't attribute it to the BC but then we were talking and we both had it and got it the day after going onto the next active pill. Then we both started getting cramps. Which was odd for me because I rarely get cramps even on my period...it all cleared up in about a week, but neither of us figured it was worth it...especially since at the end of that cycle of pills we both got our periods early and they lasted WAY longer. (I usually only have 1 or 2 day periods and this didn't totally go away for like 2 weeks) I don't know if that helps you at all, but I thought I'd at least mention it.

<3 good luck with your surgery!
