Feb. 8th, 2004 01:09 pmthis might be kind of too much information-ish so...
I am in the hut and my flow is very heavy (which is normal for me prior to my problems with ammenoreah(?) due to PCOS) but when I wipe I get these dark red jelly-like globs. They look very smooth and, well, jell-like and elastic. I recall having one or two before several years back but never so much at the same time and so often(everytime I wipe versus once during my period.) I really didn't pay much attention to them or give it any thought because I just assumed it was part of my uterus sloughing off.
I guess I need to add some bit of background information...
I have PCOS and for the past two years or so my cycles and my flows haven't been normal. The last 3 or 4 flows have been very random and very very light(basically, spotting) lasting for 7-10 days at a time. And prior to that I didn't have my period for a year. I have been on medication for about 8 months so I think it was just my period trying to regulate itself. I don't think it is PCOS-specific because I never read about these globs on any PCOS website before. But I figured the background info would help in trying to figure out what they may be.
Any help as to what exactly they are and if they are harmful is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
