Hi, longtime lurker popping up here.

A question for those who use non-cloth pads: does anyone find themselves getting an irritation/rash while wearing them? If so, do you know any ways of easing or preventing this?

I do when I wear pads, and I found that sprinkling some baby powder on the pads solves the problem right away. I've heard some vague rumors about talcum powder leading to problems, but never seen any hard data on that.

Yeah, I bet anything for diaper rash would help. It's the same thing, I think.

there's not an incredibly incredibly strong link, but there is some connection. i think they sell baby powder that's cornstarch-based - personally, i think it's worth the trouble of using only that kind, rather than the talc-based kind.

Most all baby powder i have found of late is cornstarch, not talc. But it is probably cheaper just to buy cornstarch in the bulk food department... no fragrances to cause problems, either.

Although i get less rashes w/ cloth than i did with disposables... but leaving any pad on too long will add to chafing... wet againt skin and all.... :)
