Personally, if I'm having sex involving penetration and messy sticky blood, I just throw a towel down on the bed and go for it. But I'm weird like that.
If you go for shower sex, make sure to use adequate and proper lube, or you could make yourself all sore, which sucks when you're already in the hut (trying to stick a tampon in a sore-after-sex vagina is a recipe for disaster, IMHO). My vote goes for silicone-based lube which (unlike water-based lube and menstrual blood) will not be easily washed away by the shower.
I LOVE YOUR ICON! transmetropolitan is my fiance's favorite book and he's still in mourning that its gone.
I have tried the insteads things while in the hut and ended up with nothing more than a very happy man and a kinda sore cunt. if it works for you, go for it. remember LUBE if blood isn't really working for you (personally it works for me but thats just me)
eh, it usually just gets treated like normal...when I first started sleeping w/ my SO, I just assumed he wouldn't want to touch me, so I just said "we can't"....he thought that I meant it would be physically uncomfortable.....hehe...needless to say when he told me he didn't care, I was rather happy about that...
but like others have said, its completely the comfort level of the both of you...if he doesn't care...and it doesn't bother you...whip out the towel and have at it...hell, you might not even need to use a towel depending on how heavy your flow is....
i used sea sponges alot...just be sure you have a string tied to it so you can get it out when you're done. it's not for the faint of heart or those afraid of really reaching up there, but it really does a great job of keeping things pretty clean overall.
I find sex stops the bleeding for a few hours. If not, keep some tp next to the bed. Then you can clean yourself up and he can wipe the condom before taking it off. If blood itself is a problem for either or both of you, you could try using the cap or a femidom. (do they still make those?)
