"Looseness" is, by and large, a myth. Having a lot of sex or using tampons or whatnot won't make you loose. Your vagina is a very elastic hole -- if it can go back down to its original size after giving birth, then no amount of sex should worry you, and *certainly* a little bit of natural fluctuation before your period shouldn't ;> It'll never get to the point where it's too loose for a guy to enjoy it, if that's what you're worried about, unless you go around shoving two or three fists in there daily.

But to answer your question, no, I've never noticed that. It may just be your imagination.

is that really true about it going back to normal size after birth though? i've only seen one birth, but that poor vagina definitely had to get SEWN back to its original size! (boy, did that turn me off to having children anytime soon)

the vagina doesn't get sewn back to its orginal size, i think you were viewing and episiotomy (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=episiotomy) being sewn shut. an episiotomy is a cut in the perineum not the vagina. the perineum is the skin between the vagina and the anus it sometimes has to be cut (or else it will rip) in natural childbirth to allow the passage of the child.
and yes, vagina do strink back to normal size after childbirth. vaginas are made out of very elastic muscle. and just like any other muscles in the body they can be out of shape or in shape. this (http://www.myvag.net/faq.shtml) page seems to have some good info about vaginas. look around.

Definetly. Vaginas are MEANT to undergo stretching like that. The muscles are very resillient, and only get stronger with repeated use (ie, childbirth and Kegels).

I'd be willing to bet she got sewn up because she had an epistotomy -- that's where they make an incision on your perenium to accomodate the baby's head. Those require stitches.

If you're worried about the tightness of your vagina, do Kegel exercizes. (Actually, do Kegel exercizes anyway-- the stronger your PC muscles are, the more intense your orgasms, and the less likely you are to become incontinent after childbirth. [Or so I've been told.])

Kegels are good things! As a mom of 2, i agree completely... makes childbirth much easier and feel better afterwards. And no incontinance! :)

just browsing around. ^_^

how do you do kegels? and how do you know you're doing them accurately?
