OB review, and Proactiv

First off: My gym has been giving out free packs of OB's new "Silk Ease" applicator-free tampons. I must say, having been a Tampax woman for years, I'm quite impressed. There's a promotion on the OB site where you can get a free pack. Tampax is still winning in the price game though.

Second, a question (a bit off-topic): Does anybody here use Proactiv acne medication? I love the cleanser, but not the other stuff (toner, lotion) that comes in the sets that are sold on the Proactiv website. Is there any possible way to get these things separately? Proactiv seems a bit fascist about insisting that all three products are a "system."

I used proactive for awhile (on accutane now). My cousin didn't like the other stuff and called them and they were more than willing to customize her order. What she had to do was just get three bottle of the cleanser at a time and just spread out her orders. I don't know why she had to do it that way, something about their billing system on the automatic order refill. Just call their 800 number and I'm sure they'll help you.

I haven't checked on this myself, but if I were looking for something unusual like that, I'd hit up ebay. it's amazing what you can find on there.

You can definately buy the stuff separately. I use the cleanser (and sometimes the other stuff), but I don't use the other stuff nearly as often, so I need more cleanser before the others. If you order a set, they send you a catalog with all kinds of options... including buying 3 bottles of the cleanser at once.

My boyfriend uses it too, but he uses the all over body wash both for his face and his body. I like it a bit more than the face wash, and they give you more of it. I'd recommend trying it sometime.

I've been using OB for years (with applicator). For me, they always offered much better protection and were more comfortable than any other tampon. Most stores have been phasing out OB with applicator, though, so I have been gradually trying to make the switch to non-applicator. I found their Silk Ease tampons to be quite easy comfortable to insert in remove. If OB with applicator completely disappears, I will probably use OB Silk Ease.
