I joined mycyclespage.com the other day to help me keep track of things.
Two days ago I started my placebo pills, so generally my period should start on Wednesday. Normally, the first two or three days on placebo I get some dihareha (sp?) along with the normal "down" mood and mild cramps. I went to mycycles page to enter all of this in, and there isn't dihareha listed as signs of a period.
Am I the only one that experiences this?
I know my sister gets it too, we joke about it all the time, calling it the "pre-period poos".
Does anyone else get dihareha before/during their period?

Can't say that, in fact, I find that I actually have the opposite problem...I swell up so much that I become constipated but when I'm in pain, it feels like I will have diarrhea. Quite annoying.

My first day was usually like that. Lately it hasn't been, but I used to be able to tell the day it was starting and the day it was ending based on that.

I think it has something to do with the cramps being in the same general area.

yeah, it's the prostaglandins (the pain causing hormones) making the whole area angry.

Yup, the first day of my period...usually right when it first starts I get some diarrhea...eew! I'm not sure what causes it but probably cramps have something to do with it I'm guessing

i remember one time waaaaaaaaay back in college, somehow a cafeteria dinner conversation turned to period poo...7 out of the 7 of us at the table all experienced something similar to you. up until then, i never knew that was common.

Yuk, yes, i get this on the first day. As if i wasn't feeling gross enough and didn't already have to wash my hands a million times before emptying my mooncup. I agree that it is probably down to cramps being in the same area: i also need to pee all the time and my legs are permanently weak at that time.

yeah, my gastrointestinal track gets all out of whack during the first few days of my period, I don't get diarreah, but things get soft and stuff, and it's not much fun.

I agree with you! I always have the idea in my head that because I'm swollen, my uterus kinda presses more on my bowel/bladder...I'm not sure of the cause though. It seems a little silly but that's what I always think lol.

Thank you for the website, I really needed it. :)

No, you're not, I get them too during my period. You're not alone.
