(no subject)

I don't know where else to post this and I've looked in the memories but couldn't find anything. I skipped my period in Feb[the 19th] and now i'm 4 days late this month, but that's not really the question I have. Lately I've had alot of snot like discharge. Its clear and looks exactly like snot that would come out of your nose. What would cause this? Is it normal? Also there's no abnormal smell, not that I notice anyways.

if it's clear, chances are this could be a precursor to that late period. sometimes women get some thicker, clear discharge around menses. i wouldn't stress too much. if it continues and starts to become discolored, or smell I would go get checked out.

Me too, and my boyfriend threatened to ask his mom about it in front of me if I didn't find out. So I though I would post here and ask. I'm glad it's normal too.

er, I feel stupid asking, but what kind of snot? I'd say the only kind of snot like dischrage I'd be worried about would be if it were yellow-grey-green like when you have a bad sinus infection. Clear, slightly whitish/slightly opaque. of yellowish/slightly opaque would be fine, I think, and normal smelling probably indicates that things are fine.

Well sometimes it's a clear whitish and it is kinda stretchy and sometimes it can have a yellowish tint to it, but it smells normal but Ive never had discharge in this amount before so it is just kinda strange to me, or maybe I have and Im just over analyzing things.

all that sounds alright. if the uber stretchy stuff is about 10 days to 2 weeks before your period starts, watch for that and you'll know you're ovulating (I'm guessing that's what it is; stretchy and clearish-white is characteristic of ovulating.) It used to be really obvious with me (not to be too gross, but I'd whipe myself after peeing and then the toilet paper would hang off it like a bungee chord,) though it isn't anymore... yeah, mucous patterns seem to change over time. The most annoying would be the months where I have several days in a cycle where it's so thin it's like I'm slowly leaking water.

Yea that is how it feels now[leaky faucet] Well thank you for helping, now Im not so worried about it.
