Sea Sponge users ...

Hi all!

I'm about to go forth and buy my first sea sponges, but I'm a little curious ... how would I sew a string to them without ripping the sponge? Also, I know they come in sets of two ... do you use both of them or one at a time?

ALSO ... has anyone out there used Glad Rags or LunaPads as a panty liner? If so, do they work well?

I haven't used Glad Rags or LunaPads before... I've ordered pads in the past from the Hag Rag and from Pandora Pads... the ones Skuld (the rag Hag) makes are much better than Pandora Pads (which leak all over the damn place even though they are larger than my other pads!)

Hi!

First, i never sewed strings onto mine... i just kind of squatted and bore down... easy to grab.

You use one at a time.... and you have a spare in case you can't just rinse and re-insert (like some public restaurants, etc.).

When I was just using a sponge for everyday usage, I never needed to sew the dental floss on. But if you plan on wearing it during intercourse, definately sew the string on. I actually tied mine on, but if you buy the sponge, I'd recommend sewing it through the center and then tying the string around it. Oh, if you're buying them online, here's the cheapset I've found (price varies a bit, but after shipping, they're the cheapest):

And I use these pads happily for ages on their own, as backup to the sponge or my DivaCup. I personally find GladRags less comfortable than other brands, b ut that may be because I bought their organic and everybody else's non-organic. If I was ch oosing between GladRags and Lunapads, I'd go for LunaPads because you can c hange the liner and keep the same "pad" on:
