May. 12th, 2004 07:19 amso...i'm a little nervous. my period was lighter/shorter/different blood color & consistancy this month. And i've been really naseous for about two days now. Could I be preggers? (i'm in a monogomous relationship and we do have unprotected sex but i'm on the generic version of ortho-tri (Trinessa))
any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

The packet of information that came with mine said that you shouldn't be concerned if you get a lighter period or if you skip one, but if that happens two months in a row (after you've been on the pills for three months, of course - during the first three months all bets are off!) you should call a doctor.
I agree with the previous poster - if you're worried, peace of mind can cost only $10 for a pregnancy test.
But, just so you know, birth control pills are designed to be your sole form of birth control. If you're taking your pills properly (everyday, not throwing up immediately afterwards, not on antibiotics, etc.) then you ARE having protected sex. You may choose to use a condom backup, but even without a condom, that is protected sex (against pregnancy, not against STDs).
