missed pill, abnormal period?
2 weeks ago, I missed a pill. I never made it up, though I should have. I experienced some break-through bleeding that seemed to mimic my regular period, starting out heavier and then changing to some spotting. (the bleeding never actually stopped, however). This past sunday, I started the placebo pills. My period would have normally started last night or this morning. Yesterday morning, I noticed that the bleeding had turned much heavier (it had been just spotting for a few days before that). I wasn't even sure that I would actually get a period, since the bleeding never actually stopped from 2 weeks ago. I also didn't expect one missed pill to mess things up so much. The thing that has me really nervous is that the flow is so heavy now. I wouldn't think that there would be so much, since I've been bleeding much longer than usual...but the flow is also much heavier than my usual period is. I just soaked through an entire tampon in maybe 4 hours...this never happens. I rarely leave them in for very long, but usually when I do change them maybe only half of the tampon is covered. Also, it seems that the blood is much brighter, and maybe even more thinned out than usual...(It's usually quite dark, except for the very beginning of the first day, and of a fairly thick consistency)...basically, I need to know, what's going on? Is this normal? If not, what should I do? When can I expect this to stop? I'm really scared out of my mind right now...I'll probably go to the school health center tomorrow since I can't get to the PP clinic until I go home this weekend...but anything you can tell me ahead of time is much appreciated. Thanks.
