If you have birth control pills that are, say, a month after their expiration date, are they unaffective? I mean... will they still work? Planned Parenthood gave me some, and I don't know if they realized they were a month past or not, but... do you think they'd still work? Or does anyone know?

Um not sure if they would work, but it'd be best to go back and get a "fresh batch"

Similar experience with past date pills

yeah, I'd agree with the previous poster. I had some once that I got from my pharmacy in some fluke. I took one, took them back the next day. The pharmacist said that they were probably fine (they were even further past date than a month) but he gave me a new pack of course. So I would start taking them and take the unused ones back as soon as possible and get a replacement for the remainder.

in med school they tell us drugs are good far past the expiration date (i'd say a good 6 months). i've given friends free samples of expired pills a few times but i believe they use condoms as well anyway - that's what i'd do, just use them and condoms. you can go get more as well, i mean if you paid for them you probably can demand some more. :-)
