Tampons making cramps worse? ... Having to crap?!

I've never really had anything to complain about with my periods. I think I've usually had it pretty easy but this month is kicking my ass. ~=(

Today I've had a constant throbbbing headache. I've never gotten headaches before. I feel totally lethargic. I just want to sleep. I have no apetite. The cramps were so bad that I had to take 2 painkillers which is normal I guess but totally unlike me. The ovaries decided to join along in the pain too. Maybe that's not so bad because I can just sleep that all away but the headaches are the worst. So damn painful I feel like I'm going to go blind and pass out. Also, I feel like I constantly have to crap! Sorry for that, but it's just pissing me off a lot.

However, this rant does come to a point:
It's so bad this month that I can't wear tampons. Tampons make my cramps worse. It's not as if I can feel them, but they just make me feel uncomfortable inside. I don't know how to really explain it. It's like my body is telling me to get it out by making the cramps worse.
So do any of you not like wearing tampons because they make your cramps worse or anything along those lines? Is this normal?

Oh, i gave up on tampons because of cramping! Awful! i went for sea sponges.... they don't give me cramps at all - rather surprising but true. :)

Crampingn is why I've never used tampons, really--they hurt too much! I switched to the Keeper, and haven't looked back.

I stopped wearing tampons because even having in a tiny tampon cramps me up terrible (even when I didn't have cramps, I'll get them). I use a DivaCup quite happily (but I spent several years using the Instead cup while I got over the "eyew icky" thought of using reusables - what a waste, I wish now I'd just jumped right to the Diva!) I also have had no problems using menstrual sea sponges. Good stuff :-)
