Hey guys,
Just wanted your opinions on something. I'm coming up on finishing my first pack of BC pills, and the first week I took them I was on my period. So when I get to the placebos I'll get it again, even though it won't have been a full month. Because of it, my mom keeps pressuring me to skip them and start the next pack to try and skip the period. I don't really want to do that (I think it's creepy to not get a period), but I'd also rather not have an "early" period. But then again, I've accepted it as part of the regulating process...leaving me with a very confused self. So what do you think I should do? I'm leaning toward taking the placebos, but I just wanted some opinions :)

it will take a few months for your period to completely sync up with the pills, if it ever does. why does your mom want you to skip?

as far as I care, the person who should be in control of her menstruation is the woman bleeding and no one else.

Typically BC pills are one of 2 starts -- a Sunday start and the first day of your period (if I'm not mistaken; I'm a Sunday, so I won't swear to it)

If you're a Sunday start, you start your pills the first sunday after your period... if you start on a Saturday, you start your pills the next day. That would make it a full month (that being a 28 day cycle). Actually, now that I think about it, either way it's a full 'month'....

Anyway, I'd just stick to your pills. Get into a rhythm/cycle with them, and THEN start skipping periods if you need/want to. I'm just not a big promoter of skipping periods when you're just getting on something, cos it's a major hormone adjustment to be on them in the first place (for me it was, anyway, I went thru 5 brands before I found one that didn't give me horrid side effects), and I think skipping a period the first time you're on is kinda an overload. But then, that's just me, and *my* body is relatively sensitive to BC pills. Like, hardcore sensitive lol
