I've given up on trying to use tampons for awhile.
I always find that I get cuts and scrapes from the applicators, but that the non-applicator ones don't go in at all.

*sigh*
So, I have (4) Tampax Pearl Super Ab.
and (10) Tampax Regular Ab (cardboard applicator)
and (9) or so Playtex Beyond Regular Ab
and (6) O.B Regular Ab (non-applicator)

that I can mail to anyone. I'd prefer to mail them all to the same person, so if you're in the market to test out tampons without actually BUYING them, I need to get them out of my cabinet. I might throw in a few other things I have lying around, like some White Tea bath soak stuff or something.

are you asking for a shipping fee for this? cause i'd love to have them if you haven't given them away already.

Wow! I'd totally love the non-applicator types, if they're not already spoken for. :)

have you tried a menstrual cup? www.divacup.com you couldn't make me give mine up for anything! *unless of course you were going to give me enough money to live off of the rest of my life happy and comfortable AND pay all my current bills*

Have you considered donating them to a local women's shelter? I know that this time you've already given them away, but if you try again, you could probably just drop 'em off somewhere.

Oh, I noticed that you've ordered a free sample of Instead. Just remember that they are *nothing* like the other menstrual cups. If you can't do it that doesn’t mean that you won't be able to use the reusable kinds.

The easiest insertable menstrual item that I've found has been the menstrual sea sponges. You moisten the sponge and then squeeze it out so it's EXTREMELY malleable (think of any sponge you have in the house – when you wet it and squeeze the moisture out, it'll absorb but it is really easy to bend and squish and such). They can also be trimmed to whatever size you like (so if you order one and you try it and it's too big, you can make it smaller!)

They wouldn't take the shampoo? I actualy can understand the open tampon fear, but small toiletries? How weird. My GS troop did a toiletries drive and got all sizes of bottles and such!

Weird. Normally, when I'm donating something somewhere, I call first. It could be that they'll only take things on certain days or that only certain people have any idea what to do with donations or who knows. I'm glad that you found a friend to take the items so that they didn't just get thrown in the garbage.
