Ok. I'm not really concerned at this point or anything, but I am curious. I seem to have this slightly uncomfortable pain right in the area where your pubes start to grow, and a bit to the left. It sort of feels like the cramps I get when I'm about to start my period, but not totally. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had it, and/or who knows what it is. Or maybe it's just lil' old me.

um. i get it sometimes right in the middle of not having my period, as did my mother. when i talked to her and to my doc about it, they told me that i was just feeling my ovulation (?!?!?). evidently, some women actually can feel a little (sometimes painful) twinge over the days when ovulation occurs.

another thing- my ovaries sometimes get a bit swollen and sore- it hurts to put any pressure on them (no touchee- no feelee; and definitely no sex). i had an ultrasound, and it turned out that everything was fine; they were just a little swollen (hormones or something). but the scan was to rule out nodules or lumps, which are possible. talk to your doctor, and see what he thinks.

yes, I get pain with ovulation too sometimes... right near my hip bones.

take a few ibuprofin-- unless it's really bad and you feel like you should see a obgyn.

I get ovulation cramps too. The pain changes side every month so I always know which side I have ovulated from. Unfortunately that's a pretty useless thing to know! ;)
