Is Depo-Provera one of the B/C methods that makes the egg "not stick"? Or.... what?

I'm on depo, and I'm just wondering exactly how it works....

I did gain a lot of weight when I went on Depo, and I'm currently struggling to lose it all. I stopped bleeding, too.... definitely worth the few extra pounds.

I started depo about a year and a half ago, and hadn't had a period since about three months thereafter.... until recently. About a month ago I had sex, and a week after that had what I would call "mininal spotting"... I was just wondering if that was that "thin lining" being flushed out becasue the egg was fertilized but couldn't stick. Basically what I'm asking is "Would I have been pregnant?" "Was that a fertilized egg?" I mean, yes, the lining is too thin for an egg to implant itself if it did "escape" and manage to be fertilized, but what happens to it then?


I may sound silly, but I'm just wondering, as that had never happened before.
