I'm Kristen. I'm new. And this is along the lines of menstration.

My boyfriend and I had sex for the first time on the 4th of July and we were stupid and didn't use a condom and he was stupid and didn't pull out.
So now I'm inpatiently waiting for my period which was suppose to come on the 7th.
And my first question is can you get pregnant when you're not ovulating?
The thing is I've got mentrual like "symptoms" and my discharge turned the reddish brownish color before I get it and there were little traces of blood the day I was suppose to get it. I was also getting extremely moody w/stomach cramps so I thought for sure it was on it's way.
So my question is do you get something like when you're pregnant or do you miss your period completely with no signs of your period ever coming?

I'm taking a test soon and I'm not horribly late yet. I'm just trying to be prepared for better or worse.

If you do not get pregnant-which you very well could be-sorry but its the truth...next time you decide to have unprotected sex and he ejaculates inside-call Planned Parenthood and get Emergency Birth Control-it will help prevent you from becoming pregnant. There are options when you have sex and get caught up in the moment-use them.
And stock up on condoms-get them from Planned Parenthood!

it's pretty hard to get pregnant when you aren't ovulating, because there is no egg to fertilize in the fallopian tub, but the semen is still swimming around there for some odd number of hours (or dayd idk for sure) Lots of times women spot when they are pregnant as you described, (my sister did) They get the "menstrual like" symptoms, but don't freak out yet. It could be you stressing about this that's causing it to stop. My friend once didn't even have sex with her boyfriend, just fooled around and freaked herself out so bad she didn't get her period for 2 months.

take a test asap, feel better.
