Help?

Okay ladies (and possibly gents) for the past two months I have been having this weird pain in my left side. Feel your left side, find the last rib and poke about an inch under that. That's where it hurts. I went to the regular doctor to rule out Kideny infection/stones/etc. Everything came back normal. I am going to the gyno on Aug 9th.

I'm curious to know if anyone else has had this happen before. Any thoughts as to what it might be? My periods are still normal. Hmmm.

Is the pain just during your period? I think that the spleen is in the area that you described, and if I remember correctly, when my friend had mono back in high school, that is how she figured it out...pain on her left side, just below the ribcage.

No this happens all the time, having my period makes no difference. I guess that's a good thing, at least it doesn't get worse when I'm on my period :)

your appendix? but then my knowledge of where things are on the inside of the human body is rather embarrassing... gimme a horse and I'm good to go LOL

But I think that might be your appendix. I remember a friend of mine had his burst and they had to take it out, etc, etc, and he ran around showing his incision, cos it was stapled shut. boys will be boys. :D I just can't remember what side of his body that was on...

appendix is on the right side, and appendix pain can be confused with ovary pain. however if one has appendicitis, they will know. high fever, sharp stabbing pains, vomiting etc. so that's not the poster's problem haha.

Ok, I thought it was the right side, but like I said... I know equine bodies better than humans LOL

i wouldnt know, except i have alot of pain with my right ovary and freaked out for a bit thinking i had appendicitis. haha wound up being endometriosis. but anyway :)

i would suggest getting an ultra soujnd, i had a problem like that, i had a tumor on my ovary :( and the pain was unbearable, it was constant cramps, i wound up getting hte tumor removed, and then weeks later i had the ovary removed cuz the tumor turned out cancerous, and i still have un bearable cramps, but now on my left side where i have my ovary.
