Usually a male that I work with walks up just as I'm pulling it out of my bag...

Although, this one woman I work with said she was startled by her boss so bad one day, that she ended up flinging the whole box of them up, and 10 of them flew out. *grin*

Nothing beats that...
But that candy thing is going to make me laugh a long time. heh

Ah I've been there before. However, I lack much of that "dignity" stuff, so I'm not really above holding one out & offering it to whatever rude (adult) male or female is being nosey and staring at me.

:D I ended up doing just that at a bar. I went to turn around and found some guy's hand stuck in my jacket pocket trying to steal my money. I whipped it out, and asked him loud enough for everyone around us, "Here, is this what you're digging for? What else were you hoping to find in my pocket?" When he backed off, I kept going, "Come on, you were working so hard for it, here's your prize!"

Not what I'd expect myself to say, shy as I can be in public, but he'd pissed me off trying to steal my money.
