I haven't posted in this community in a very long time...

Haha, same here! I'm on my second period since I started it, & so far, NO CRAMPS! Which probably hasn't happened in, like...maybe 8 years! I'm ready to propose to whoever invented it.

You should join nuva_ring, if you haven't already.

I've been using it for several months now...and I can't believe how much more convenient it is for me now as opposed to the pill (which wasn't all that bad...except for remembering to take it) and the patch (which I despise).

I did notice one thing...if it's "up too far" it pokes the guy during sex. But that's easily adjusted.

I think I will join...let's all sing the praises of the Nuvaring!!

There's one I haven't heard a whole lot about... how often do you have to get a new one?

About every month. You put it in, wear it continuously for 3 weeks, and then take it out. It takes a couple days for your period to start after you take it out, but it regulates my period better than the Pill did (probably because I don't have to worry about what time I'm taking it every day).
It's inexpensive (I only have a $20 co-pay on it...which is about the same with the Pill), it's easy, and I love it!

The only downfall I've noticed is that it really doesn't do much for my complexion. But the pros definitely outweigh the cons on this one.

I'm starting a sample of Ortho-Evra (the patch) in a couple weeks, but something tells me that it's going to be a pain. My friend told me how much she digs the ring like, THE DAY after I got my patch sample, but she didn't tell me much about it.

I didn't like the Patch 'cause it wasn't all that reliable. If it pulls up on one of the corners, even just a little, it's not as reliable. And I couldn't find a spot on my body that wouldn't be visible to everyone else and didn't rub against my clothes really bad. I would have had better luck with the Pill...but then the ring came along.
